Reading-Phonics/Structural Analysis

  • Identify and imitate environmental sounds.
  • Recognize and name colors.
  • Recognize beginning consonant sounds.
  • Identify initial vowel sounds.
  • Recognize and name upper and lower case letters.
  • Read from top to bottom - left to right.
  • Recognize first and last name.
  • Recognize basic sight words: and, can, hop, she, cat, play, ball, it, to with, is, the.
  • Recognize rhyming words.
  • Recognize color words.
Reading-Comprehension
  • Retell events, stories and poems in own words.
  • Describe picture and story details.
  • Sequence three events in a story.
