Each person working at Sunnyvale Christian School is a Christian and a committed member of a local church. It is our desire that our teachers be well qualified professionally. Our Elementary teachers need a teaching credential, and/or a master's degree. We sometimes hire teachers who possess personal qualifications and are in the process of finishing teacher education classes.

Early Kindergarten

Teacher: Mrs. Edme Hernandez Mrs. Edme Hernandez has been teaching Early Kindergarten for 6  years.  She has been at Sunnyvale Christian School since 1995.  She is also our children's Worship leader here along with Margo Dickson.  She is also the director of our summer program here at Sunnyvale Christian School.  This will be her seventh  year directing our summer program. Kindergarten
	Teacher: Ms. Heidi Kiphuth Ms. Heidi Kiphuth was born and raised in Minnesota, where she received her Elementary Education Degree at Crown College.  She has been teaching for over 7 years.  This is her first year at Sunnyvale Christian School.  She is a member of Crosswalk Community Church and is currently on the missions team.  She has been on 2 mission trips to the Ukraine and loves working with the orphans there. First Grade

Teacher: Mrs. Patricia Victorson Mrs. Patricia Victorson has had over 12 years of teaching experience with first graders. She holds a CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, which authorizes her to teach preschoolers through adults. Other pursuits and experiences have been in the areas of art, puppetry, and special education. Like her, Patti’s husband and two daughters are active members of Santa Clara First Baptist Church, where each are involved in different ministries. Her youngest daughter attended Sunnyvale Christian School from Kindergarten through sixth grade. Second Grade

Teacher: Mrs. Cindy Vitale Mrs. Cindy Vitale and her husband has moved here from Independence, Oregon in July 2004.  She now holds her CA Teaching Credential and has been teaching for over 11 years.  She taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grade at Rivera Christian School for 7 years.  She is now attending Neighbor Christian Church. Third Grade

	Teacher: Mrs. Brenda Rodriguez Mrs. Brenda Rodriguez was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in La Mirada, California.  She has been teaching elementary students since 1999.  Mrs. Rodriguez and her husband and two children currently attended Calvary Chapel San Jose.  "God has called me to teach here at Sunnyvale Christian School and I am excited to teach the third grade this year!" Fourth Grade
	Teacher: Mr. RJ Citarelli Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, Mr. Citarelli has spent the last 30 years living and working right here in Santa Clara county.  He graduated from Bethany College with a degree in Theology with a concentration in Christian Education.  Mr. Citarelli and his wife Christine are active members at The Cathedral of Faith in San Jose.  Mr. Citarelli resides in the Rose Garden area of San Jose with his wife and three children Abigail, Vivo, and Noah. Fifth Grade
	Teacher: Mrs. Sharon Welty Mrs. Sharon Welty was born and raised in Santa Clara, CA. She attended Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. After graduation she moved to Odenton, Maryland and taught 2nd grade for three years. She returned to California and taught at Monarch Christian School in Sunnyvale. Her first year there she taught first grade, and then 4th/5th (a combined class) the following three years. In 2000, she joined the staff at Sunnyvale Christian School teaching upper elementary. Computer Lab
	Teacher: Lara Moborez Mrs. Lara Moborez was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Sacramento.  After graduating from the University of Chicago with a Master of Arts in English she worked as a missionary with International Teams.  She spent three years working with refugees in Athens, Greece.  Along with providing refugees with food, clothing, and other necessities, she taught English as a Second Language and helped start an intensive ministry training program.  As an employee of Beyond Technology Education and Sunnyvale Christian School, she received training in teaching technology to children.  This is her first year teaching at Sunnyvale Christian School.
