Sunnyvale Christian School requires that uniforms are to be worn by all students from Early Kindergarten through 5th Grade.  You may purchase parts of the uniforms at stores other than Appletree; however, they must match the uniforms at Appletree Uniforms in Los Gatos.

DRESS CODE STANDARDS

• You must label all clothing clearly with your child’s name.
• Shoes are to be worn at all times. (No flip-flops or slides allowed.  Sandals must have a back strap for the child’s safety.  As well no shoes with wheels are allowed on school campus.)
• Girl’s jumper/skirt must be modest length (Recognizing this varies for each girl, at a maximum this is defined as no more than 4 inches above knee).
• All shirts are to be tucked in.
• The SCS jacket is highly recommended (available only at Appletree Uniforms), but if this is not feasible your child’s jacket must coordinate with the school colors (forest green, navy blue, or white).
• The only sweater allowed is the SCS cardigan sweater (available at Appletree Uniforms).
• The only sweatshirt allowed is a properly fitted, long-sleeve, forest green sweatshirt with no hood.
• On field trip days your child must wear their green polo shirt.
• Sweatpants and recreational clothing (bathing suits) are not permitted at any time.
• Free dress day is the first Friday of each month (No free dress in September.).  Free dress clothing still must comply with the modesty standards set forth within this dress code.

GIRLS UNIFORM OPTIONS

• White or Green jersey knit polo-shirt (short or long sleeved) should be tucked in.
• Navy blue twill shorts (between mid thigh and knee only, no tight or bike shorts) or navy blue twill pants (no sweat pants, cargo pants, corduroys, or leggings).
• Black or brown belt only may be worn with twill shorts or pants.
• Plaid jumper (style #187 & plaid #61) must be purchased at Appletree Uniforms.
• Plaid skirts (style #134 & plaid #61) must be purchased at Appletree Uniforms.
• Shorts are always to be worn under jumpers and skirts.
• Socks or tights (only solid navy blue or white) are to be worn.

BOYS UNIFORM OPTIONS

• White or Green pique knit polo-shirt (short or long sleeved) should be tucked in.
• Navy blue twill shorts (between mid thigh and knee only) or navy blue twill pants (no sweatpants, cargo pants, or corduroys).
• Black or brown belt only may be worn with twill shorts or pants.

P.E. REGULATIONS

• Lace up athletic shoes only (No Velcro or slip-ons are allowed due to safety.).
• Uniform shorts or pants only during PE (boys and girls).
