  • Listen to a story and retell the characters of the story
  • Sequence events in a story

Language Arts-Listening and Speaking Skills

  • Sit in circle time and listen when others are speaking
  • Listen to and follow direction.
  • Speak in clear sentences
  • Understands "lets pretend"
  • Uses plurals
  • Speaks in sentences 4 to 5 words
  • Answers questions in a sentence

Language Arts-Writing Skills

  • Begin tracing lines and shapes
  • Begin tracing first name

Mathematics

  • Recognize shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle)
  • Classify objects according to color
  • Identify comparative objects using the following terms: tall-short, big-small, heavy-light, more-less
  • Begin tracing numbers 1-10
  • Count and identify 1-10
  • Matches geometrical forms
  • Put two halves together
  • Counts 5 objects

Science

  • Match pictures of adults with young anis of various species
  • Identify human needs such as nutritional, rest, etc
  • Describe earthquake and fire procedures
  • Identify danger symbols

Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrate how he/she can become a better listener and learner
  • Discuss and follow safety procedures if approached by strangers
  • Describe what the 5 senses are and their functions
